iSEE LAUSD 2012 High School iSEE Project: Designing the School for the Future
Here are some suggestions for you to explore! Summer 2007 Partnership with LACCD and LATTC Architecture and Environmental Design Discipline By Marcela Oliva, Professor olivam@lattc.edu
This is about the year you will be graduating from Architecture School! This is a very challenging project; these type of projects are usually given to third or fourth semester students; but we believe the iSee Students are ready to explore! Remember this is just an exploration.... when you study architecture you will get a one to one kind of support! There are many variables that need to be taken in consideration before you start with the design. Architecture is a reflection of humanity and what we value; we build spaces that support our needs.
The study of Architecture is full of metaphors and meanings and as a designer you must always ask the fundamental questions like:

Architecture is also very contextual, you were able to experience the space and form from the most important architect of America: Frank O Gehry and as a designer you will learn how he designs:

Architecture has a methodology of design called “design process”. There are many approaches, but Architecture Design Process creates people that are problem solvers. When you graduate from architecture school, you have many options and opportunities. Design Process

So how do I start? “In creative and conceptual designing, architects often look to books, magazines, and other collections of images to find forms they can adopt and adapt in designs. On line visual collections are becoming available but typically they are indexed only with descriptive key words. We argue that in addition to key word indexing, which supports retrieval of images based on design concepts or issues, a more directly visual, graphical reminding scheme based on sketches can help designers recall interesting references from various domains. We describe Drawing Analogies, a shape based reminding program that uses hand drawn sketches to index and query visual databases” http://depts.washington.edu/dmachine/PAPER/ACADIA95/dogross.html
So how is space developed? The power of geometry is
